NanJ

/livejupiter/ board - Anything Jupiter Live (何でも実況J（ジュピター）板, Nandemo jikkyo jupiter ita), also known as NanJ (なんJ, Nanjei), is a textboard in 2channel, an anonymous Internet forum in Japan. As the name implies, NanJ was created as a total live broadcasting board in 2004, categorized to Live ch(実況ch, jikkyo channel) in 2channel. NanJ has unique culture due to its historical background. NanJ users are called NanJ people(なんJ民, NanJ min).

It was in NanJ that Hasekara Riot happened after “Yagami Taichi◆YAGAMI99iU”, a NanJ user, turned out to be Hasegawa Ryota.

Overview

NanJ was born on 21st Oct, 2004 for general running commentary. The basis of today's culture in NanJ comes from immigrants of baseball board users in 2009. The NanJ users who had lived there before this immigration are called natives(原住民, genjumin). There are few natives in NanJ, so they are hospitably treated like coelacanths. Culture

NanJ users talk in their own dialect named Mouko dialect (猛虎弁, Mouko ben), partially similar to the Kansai dialect. NanJ users prefer anonymity and often hate handle users.

History

2004/10/21 Launched.
2005/3/15 Server transferred (live8→live20).
2005/7/14 Server transferred (live20→live22x).
2005/11-12 /news4vip/ users (VIPPERs) invaded NanJ seeking a new ground because of an increase in the number of noobs on /news4vip/.
2006/5/19 Server transferred (live22x→live23).
2009/5/13 Server operators adopted a strict access policy of the Baseball ch. It caused great waves of migration of the Baseball ch users to NanJ. NanJ became a baseball chatboard.
2010/5/31 Server transferred (live23→live28).
2010/6/17 Server transferred (live28→hayabusa).
2011/5/2 Server transferred (hayabusa→hatsukari). the Invasion of the Omatsuri ch occurred.
2011/11/13 Server transferred (hatsukari→uni).
2011/11/20. Falkenborg (Softbank Hawks) left the mound after hitting Ibata Hirokazu(Chunichi Dragons) in the elbow. Live broadcasting on NanJ reached the highest point of its momentum, and the server got down. The second invasion of Omatsuri ch occurred. The service was fixed two days later.
2011/12/10 Server transferred (uni→hayabusa).
2012/3/7 Yagami Taichi was identified.
2012/12/16 A thread caused the invasion of /aquarium/.
2014/3/3 Default name changed to "Anonymous as the Wind Blows@Reproduction Prohibited" (風吹けば名無し@転載禁止, Kaze fukeba nanashi@tensai kinshi).
2014/3/17 Server transferred (hayabusa→hayabusa5).
2014/3/29 Server transferred (hayabusa5→tomcat).
2014/6/15 Server transferred (tomcat→orpheus).
2016/2/11 Server transferred (orpheus→raptor).

Currently there is no local chatboard policy on NanJ (as of Feb 12, 2016).
