The fact that he opposed to the request in a few characters, that he wrote it in >>2, and that his nickname was unique attracted a great deal of attention and praise to him.
This was around the early days of turmoil, the time when Incompetent fat guy was still called "Teacher".

Another factor why it became famous was that the fact that an ordinary person interfered with the job of a lawyer seemed comical.
